July 29, 2010: Arkansas State Supreme Court officials announced on Monday, July 26, 2010, that Supreme Court Judge Donald Corbin is recovering from a heart attack that he had earlier in July, 2010, according to The Associated Press. Court officials said that Corbin, 72, had a heart attack on Sunday, July 18, 2010, and had emergency bypass surgery on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Corbin is out of intensive care and he is scheduled to remain at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock for a couple of days before returning home. Corbin is scheduled to return to work at the end of the court's summer recess. Corbin was elected to the State Supreme Court in 1991. He was previously a State Representative and a State Appeals Court Judge.
