May 26, 2010: The U.S. Senate is expected to appoint 12 U.S. Senators, including Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd, to a conference committee with the House of Representatives to work out a final Wall Street financial industry reform bill, said a source familiar with Senate discussions on Monday, May 24, 2010, according to Reuters. Other senators to be appointed are: Democrats Tim Johnson, Charles Schumer, Tom Harkin, Patrick Leahy, Jack Reed and Blanche Lincoln; and Republicans Richard Shelby, Mike Crapo, Judd Gregg, Saxby Chambliss and Bob Corker, the source said.
